What should I do with my New Little sister ?

I am volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters and I am getting to meet my little on Saturday at her house. What should I do? I am getting nervous. I was thinking of getting her something small but I dont want to seem like all I am for is gifts and money. I just want to make her feel happy and excited to get a big sister. Any ideas what we can do on our first day as an ice breaker? Thanks!

Ice Breaker?How to get to know her better?

I am a college student I know that girl from one of the course i am currently taking. We are both taking that course.I recently found out that we both live in the same building,off campus. I would love to get to know her better.She seems to be very social. Do you have any good tricks to brake the ice? I am the kind of girl to be shy at first, but outgoing and talkative once I know you well. I am a transfer student to that college and have met few people so far.
